Are the big cats on bed yet?

The past week or so I've not caught anything over 10 pounds. I'm guessing the big cats are on bed so I'm wondering about how long they will stay on bed? I know some go early and some late, but I always thought around July they picked up again...right or wrong?

Its been really hit and miss so far this year on old hickory..now this past week I was in Pensacola fla catching King Mackerel and sharks and 1 Red fish,BUT..I'll be getting back out soon!

A buddy of mine caught a 3 lb, 5 lb and then a 22 lb flathead from the bank yesterday on the Cumberland river. I caught a drum on old hickory.
