those Rossi's used to be a lot cheaper, but the popularity of cowboy action shooting has driven up the price.

you can find solid Marlin and Winchester .30-30 lever guns at pawn shops all over the place for much cheaper that would be much better deer guns....unless you just have to have a .45LC. you won't find one of those cheap
 
i know - i remember em being around $300 when I was younger, now the gun shops wanting round 550 for one. i'll more than likely just pick up a bolt action for that price!
