I was on a archery only lease back in the mid 90s. What we found was with only 500 acres dedicated to Archery hunting is that we really did not have enough land for it to pay off. That when all the surrounding properties started poping off gun shots..the increase in traffic in the area and the presence of human scent all around the property that it still sent the deer nocturnal and put the deer on a winter feeding schedule.
If you are thinking about a archery only lease you need to be thinking BIG. You need to be thinking of a large track of land and be getting a limited number of hunters on that tract to avoid over pressuring it. Otherwise you are probably going to be disappointed.
