What is the best Ar scope for around $200 or less?

is your front sight fixed or folding?i myself am looking but was told(do not know for fact)that anything under 3x would pick up front sight.i am going by hearsay.good luck ,im curious for responses also

There are several of them and it all depends what you want to use them for.

Hunting or self defense? Long range or close and fast?

I decided I needed both so I bought two different AR rifle's and put two totally different scopes on each one.

One other thing, the best "sales" of the year on those scopes has just passed, They mark down everything way down and free shipping but now the prices are back up. But once in a while you can find what your looking for on sale. Last year 2 weeks before Christmas I bought 4 new scopes only because of the sales and free shipping.

my buddy just bought a vortex red dot and looks like you could be pretty accurate out to 150-200y. dot has 10 brightness settings.

It has a fixed front sight. I will not be using it as self defense. I think I will use it some for coyote hunting.

Go to www.swfa.com and look at the Sightron scopes.
The S1 is probably as good as your going to get for under $200, and unlike most loss end scopes, they aren't made in China.
My advice is to go with the S2 series, they're more, but well worth the extra.

This is what I put on mine for hunting and it's a great scope. I have the 4 X 12 but any of them will work great. I also got the M-223 mount, they all go together, the AR shooting 223 and the scope and mount..

I love my Bushnell but its more of aa tactical scope. I am putting a pop up rear sight just in case battery died.

All I have to do is move the scope up..which is easily detached like a carry handle. If i move the scope up and buy a pop up rear sight....if the battery dies i can just pop up the sight and just use the rear sight to co-witness with the front post. My scope is a 1x scope. It wouod be ised the same as a aimpoint or a EOTECh
