AR-15 Value

I have an Panther Arms AR-15 .223 that for some reason my daddy had and came across it when cleaning out his house. If its only worth a couple hundred I will probably just hang on to it and let the grandboys shoot it. Any idea what it's worth, ballpark idea?

I would think around $500. Gun shop probably give you $300 +/-

Hang onto it buddy. Likely worth at least $500 as Urban Hunter said, but could be worth more by hanging onto it, in more ways than one.

They are $700 new. I'd say $500 also. Nothing wrong with DPMS. You are in a different state though, so it would have to go through an FFL for any of us in Tennessee.

Dpms are really good for the money, and agree that one used would probably bring $500. If you don't already have one, I would hang onto it.

Yea no doubt about it. Probably need to keep it. My grandboys would probably enjoy shooting it

If it's a .223 then make sure that you don't run 5.56 ammo through it. Otherwise I'd just hold onto it and shoot it

For ~$150-200 you can get a barrel that shoots really good. Worst case scenario, I would swap the barrel and then shoot the rifling out it it…

Best case scenario, it shoots good and just shoot the rifling out of it as is…

Unless the barrel says ".223 Wylde," in which case you're good to go.

Back in the day, sights like that were called "Polish battle sights". Could only be used once.
