My grandfather was in ww2 and brought home a Japanese type 99 rifle. My parents are moving in with my wife and I while their new house is being built so he gave me his guns to put in my safe. I got to messing around with the rifle the other day and it really neat and the action is smooth as can be. I've never shot it but my brother has and there's even a box of Hornady ammo with it. I'd love to take a deer with it this season. Does anybody have any experience with one of these on deer. I can only find ammo from Graf and sons and Hornady. Both are 150gr. All my shots would be within 100 yards.
