I caught a highlighted glimpse of a fall prediction as to being wet for the southeast. Anyone else saw anything as far as long term forecasting goes? Any predictions for this fall and winter?

Everything I have read is calling for colder than avg temps this Winter, however our warm temps will likely stay with us up into September???

Supposedly an el nino weather pattern is taking shape which means slightly cooler temps with more than everage snow in the east. Right now we are in a transitioning phase.

Found this on accu weather:
Ice Zone Sets Up across Southern States; Severe Threat Develops in February
The Long-Range Team expects areas from northeastern Texas and Oklahoma into Kentucky and Tennessee to deal with more ice than snow events this winter, especially from early to mid-season.
Occasionally, icing could affect areas farther east into the western Carolinas and northern parts of Alabama and Georgia. This would be most likely in January.
The team also expects a significant risk for severe weather and flood events to develop over the lower Mississippi Valley in February. Mississippi, Alabama and Tennessee, which were devastated by tornadoes in the spring, will be extremely sensitive to any severe weather outbreaks.

That's the same thing they said about last year if Im not mistaken. Of course I don't remember any ice.

I think it's going to be cold and the snow/ice/rain can't be predicted this early.

A really bad winter always follows a drought by 1 to 3 years.I saw on another site where it was proven by weather records.May not be this winter but should be possible in the next 2.
