of a possible state record killed near Pikeville? Was told someone tried to check it in and when the wardens did some checking, found out the hunter had purchased his license an hour earlier before check in. Upon further questioning, it was revealed the brute had been shot the night before...

I've heard thru the grapevine that some young kid killed a giant up there somewhere illegally. No definite confirmation tho.

Yes there was a monster killed up there that would have been in the 190s close to 200. It was killed off the road and the kid went to get his license a good while after he shot it and had already put pics on fb. Several guys I work with know him and twra took everything related to the deer from the guy. I have seen a pic and it is a monster for sure.

I dont know who scored it or if it was just a guess but that deer is not close to a 200 score . Doubt it even makes a 140 class. Lacking in a lot of areas score wise.Just a nice deer
