Anyone have any idea what this is ?

Outside is very slimy and sticky if left on your skin.

Inside is best compared to clear jello.

The entire thing looks very soft but it is VERY firm to the touch.

A friend of mine saw these for the first time fishing this weekend and wondered what they were. He assumes some type of egg, but I have no clue.

This one was about 3" in diameter and about 6" long. Others were seen that were as big as basketballs.

Its an egg from an Alien thing and it is probably looking for you right about now. That one was named Chester as he is from the southern branch.


I hear if you eat them, the Alien will let you slide by.

Most interesting answer we received (other than your CORRECT one) was that they were deposits formed by methane gas.
