anyone ever took a banded dove?

Any you guys been lucky enough to ever take a banded dove in Tn? I know a retired TWRA friend that bands several ever year, and he puts lots of time and work into it. I've never took one, nor seen one taken, but they are out there. It would be a neat trophy.

I killed a banded dove about 4 years ago, I also killed a double banded pigeon on courtsquare Brownsville about 11 years ago

I saw a banded dove sitting on a power line between Camden & Paris, TN when I was a teenager.... was riding down the road and seen the sun glimmer off it.

I have a band from a Dove that my grandfather killed back in the 50s or 60s.

Not sure, I know my friend that does the project has a certain number of bands every year,and traps and bands at certain locations. It was really informative. He checked the ages, looked at the wing feathers, even told me several years ago they done some reward bands. I never realized it, but there are many requirments involved to even be a bander, most are always retired or active fish and wildlife agents. My hats off to them. Good job!
