Anybody seen bucks chasing yet?

Crazy. First time for me ever seeing one in November

Last year's fawn came in very late and got bred.

Momma doe here this morning with her little one, doe herself is pretty small.

Checked cams today. Still a lot of chasing going on. But what has me encouraged is the explosion of daylight activity. Until this camera pull, everything had been at night except for the chasing in food plots just before dark. Now, all of a sudden, lots of mid-morning and early afternoon activity. Love that!

Have gotten pics of a couple that are missing one side already, and the 8 i passed Monday morning has busted one of his brows since I saw him Monday.

Yep I've got some with entire sides missing and some with tines broke off. Pretty normal stuff it seems. By the end of the season there aren't many that don't have something at least chipped or chunked.

The worst thing about a deer getting one whole side broke off at the skull is that it may never grow back again. This guy here got broke off a couple years ago and hasn't gotten anything back again.

We are seeing a few broken tines already as well. just pestering so far but the calendar is getting right now!!! first 5 days of MZ will be GOOD!!

Ive got a different unique buck on camera every morning at a hub scrape the last 5 mornings. All between 7-10

I've seen a lot of young bucks pestering and sparring. I did see two decent 2.5-3.5 year old bucks in a bean field off Veterans Parkway in Murfreesboro with a poor doe pinned up against the hillside that veterans sits atop. one was close to her just watching her, the other (bigger IMO) was in the field about 50 yds away watching them both.

Everyone talking about what days they are taking off got me thinkin. got some permission to hunt some private this year. Its just a small 10 acre piece of mostly cow pasture, but it borders a larger piece of woods right on a creek and bucks use the edge for cruising (camera verified) in between 2 very thick bedding areas. Would you go ahead and hunt the MZ opening weekend? Or wait till monday when it gets nice and cold? winds should be good either way, but I always have the possibility of swirling back into bedding areas. My stand is in the only possible place it could be on the north edge of the field. Im 95% sure my entrance and exits will not be discovered by the bucks as they have no need to go in this direction, but I guess it's always possible they could. Since this is my first private access in awhile, I dont want to get impatient and screw it up. Any thoughts are welcome.

I saw a decent buck a couple of Saturdays ago in a field on Veterans. It was on the left headed toward 840 after you pass Hwy 99. Kind of foggy and 6:30 in the morning but he was in the middle of the field by himself.

If you're confident that you'll not be detected then hunt it anytime all the time. I only reserve spots for high odds days when it's a risky spot to hunt. For my spots that are bulletproof as far as access goes, I hunt those all season long.

2 mature bucks locked in on a hot doe out in the open at 330p this afternoon. Not gonna post that pic, as one is a freaking STUD. New buck to me. C'mon Saturday!!!!
