Anybody ever fished around Cherokee Dam?

I will be in that area in the next couple of weeks and thought about trying to get a little fishing in. Has anyone ever fished around the dam, and if so, do you have any tips? Thank you.

Above the Dam a 6 inch worm or a Fluke will get you some bites.

Below the Dam an October Caddis and/or Bead Head Pheasant Tail will get you some bites.

I used to catch a bunch on the rip rap by the dam with a jointed firetiger shad rap.

I used to catch a lot of bass and rockfish around the rip rap on topwaters this time of year right before daylight.

Mossy Creek is good this time of year. If you are bank fishing take Hwy 92 into Jefferson City turn left on Old Andrew Johnson Hwy (at the stop sign). Turn left at the first traffic light. Cross the RR trax turn left on Cherokee Drive and go to the end. You are at Mossy Creek.
