I tried one. It does what they say but to me it was just an extra piece to carry around that I didn't really have to have.

I use one, just gotta remember not to put it in your mouth when both hands are occupied. Twice is all it took me to learn that lesson.

I used to have one...gave it to another member a year or so ago.
After everything that's been shoved up my arse in the last year...I just couldn't, in good conscious, do that to another animal again...dead or alive...

I've been deer hunting for 60 years, and always thought these were a gimmick. Finally bought one this year, and I can't believe how well they work. So much easier than trying to cut around the A-hole and not cut into the intestine. It will always be in my pack from now on. I carry a small zip tie to tie off the intestine, works a lot better than string.

They work great. Whenever I've forgotten it I've used a knotty stick. I kinda forgot how to do it without one.

I had a health problem a few years ago that required a number of similar "intrusions" and eventually surgery. I understand your sentiments 100%.
