How is the swamp rabbit and coon population at Moss Island I was wanting to take a trip out there and do some hunting with my dogs. Any information would be helpful thanks

I think it gets hunted quite a bit for both. I know a few people that hunt both coons and rabbits there and do good early in the season but I would guess by now that is might be a little hard to find either one.

It is in West Tennessee along the Mississippi River I went there about 15yrs. ago and there were a ton of swamp rabbits and coon. I would love to go back.

Call the WMA manager for specifics but it should be good. There have been several hundred acres added to the WMA and planted in trees in the last few years and those areas have grown into great rabbit habitat.
