Personally, I do not like to see QDM legislated. It should be voluntary. However, I think enough evidence exists that having older bucks in the population is good for the deer herd that producing older bucks is a part of the state's job. Now, how to do that without restricting hunters too much?
In my personal preference, I would prefer seeing a lottery draw for buck tags before I would want to see antler restrictions.
