I don't really have a name for this style knife…but, behind sharpfingers and drop point hunters, it's one of my most requested styles. 1084 carbon steel. Hollow ground. Antler scales (last little useable piece I had leftover from some sheds that @Popcorn provided) with black G10 liners. Brass pins and lanyard hole liner. A little file work on top of the blade for some thumb jimping. Hand sewn, wet molded leather sheath

I actually just got started on another like it. That one moved so fast, I thought I'd build another one or two.

Edit: Full disclosure though, these are completely hand made. I can't build any two of anything EXACTLY the same.

I would be game to contribute. Hey @Shag, What is the preferred size on antler you need for quality work? Example straightness, diameter and etc. I'm sure we can load you up for the near future.

A lot of that depends on the knife I'm using it on. These knives are a little smaller so I can get away with smaller antlers. This particular one was scaled with a nice size G2. Generally speaking, if you're wanting some good texture on a bigger knife, it'll take a pretty straight section from the bases from a DANG GOOD 3.5 year old buck…4.5 plus works better. And all that depends on the browtine location…AND how much curvature there is in the main beam. In all honesty, I've seen HUGE bucks that I couldn't get a single knife handle out of.

A drop point hunter with the orange and white stripes would be sweet!!! I can make it happen for you sometime. I went from not too far behind to absolutely covered up in a span of 24 hours. But, it's a good problem to have. I'm thankful to have the work and extremely thankful that people enjoy them.
