It's not my kill, it's a buddies in Ohio. His taxi is telling him it will score 194 something after it dries! I call BS! I think it'll score 160 something MAX...
What yall think?

I don't see 194 (even gross) in the deer. The inside spread cannot exceed the length of the longest antler, so I'm not sure that he would get full credit for the width.

There are several deductions on the rack that will lower the net score.

It is a GREAT deer.

So if a deer has a crazy main beam like this one and makes the spread wider that the actual length of the main beam it doesn't count?

I wish the B&C would just go by gross for the most part. I hate having the deductions on cool characther like droptines and such have.

True. Spread credit cannot exceed the length of the longest main beam.

True. Spread credit cannot exceed the length of the shortest main beam.

Does it count towards the gross?

The extra spread credit that is in excess of the longest main beam length (usually 1-2") does not count in the gross score IF you use B&C standards.

I was expecting to see a picture of someone's wife.....

LOL! I wondered when someone would reply with this.

Thanks for the replies. Don't get me wrong, I think it's a great deer, and well worth the broken arrow. But in no way shape or form do I think it's anywhere near 194"! Even without deductions.

I don't think it's close to 150" either though. It's way bigger than 150", just not 194".. I'll see if I can get more pics to post for a better judgment. This deer is supposed to go to a convention this weekend, and get scored by pro's. So we'll see what he really is Monday, or Tuesday. I think my buddy will be surprised when it scores 170's.

Still a great harvest either way.

Great buck buck wont see near 194 unless the pics are just terrible. Looks like 50's gross to me.

Nice deer high 150s... There was s thread awhile back about a fort campbell deer going 190ish I couldn't see that either... 190" is BIG rack.. I don't think most realize how big one has to be to score 190... But hey I could be wrong about both it's hard to tell just lookin at a picture.

Hard to tell from just a pic. It is a great deer but has short tines.
Looks high 130's to me.
No where near 190's.

Well IMO somebody is going to get their feelings hurt once it is offically scored. If that pic is accurate it has short tine length and average mass with the spread being its most positive attribute. I would guess 150s Max and once net is figured in it may be only 130s but hard to tell in a pic with just one angle. The taxidermist needs to work on his taxidermy skills and leave the scoring to somebody else . IMHO

Agreed..

i would guess somewhere around the 140's but the pic maynot be doing it any justice.

Agree. From the angle I would say 140s typical and maybe a lil more with the extra points added.

I don't think I've ever seen a thread with such a wild range of score guesses. I think it will easily beat 150, but I don't have much experience looking at odd shaped racks like this one.
