Buddy of mine killed this buck back in November and he asked if I could get some opinions.... appreciate it guys.

Just curious. Did he have a big rack?

Nice buck (really nice considering age).
Trail cam pic was late November and buck was taken two days after pic. Hills and holler middle TN land....no major Ag crops in close proximity....but this farm does have multiple food plots.

Another interesting point to make on the buck....he had been battling with other bucks....couple of puncture wounds in back of head...one would in side of head and his jaw was actually fractured....old warrior.

A wild TN buck that old is one in a million. They have to navigate many chances to die or be killed by a hunter. It's not surprising the only pic was a night picture. That buck had to be almost nocturnal. The hunter was very lucky or very skillful. Probably both to get that buck.
