Ain't happening over this way, I have yet to see a buck even look at a doe and a buddy of mine hunting in Fayette county had 30 does in the bean field with him this morning and never saw a buck, yall are just making this stuff up

Sounds like we hunt the same deer. It amazes me how deer in most of the state are rutting right now, yet it won't happen where I hunt in McNairy County for close to a month. We are just now starting to see any sign pop up.

Killed a 130 class 10 pt this morning, tending a doe! It seems to be happening about 2 weeks early over here, but I ain't complaining!

I killed a four point last night with my bow. He was chasing fairly well after he ran the does back into the woods I grunted a few times and he came in on a string 15 yards broadside. Probably just the young ones are getting fired up. I let a group of four does and another group of 3 does walk this morning hoping something was behind them but nothing showed up. This was in Clay County

Saw a 4- point chase four does to me, then back the way they came. He was back 20 min later chasing one of the does that he had singled out

Saw four does this morning but no bucks. Maybe it hasn't started in Houston county yet I don't know. This time last year wwas hunting the same area and it was the only time I ever witnessed the rut. Had a nice buck come in chasing two does.

Does all grouped up this morning. That's all I saw. Usually 2nd week of muzzleloader and first week of gun are what is hot here

Watched a dandy 4-point chase just a lil bit at daylight this morn....next cold snap here on the cumberland plateau orta start bringin the more mature bucks out....hopefully!

I had a bachelor group of 6-7 this a.m., we still have about a month before it gets fun here.

what are the bucks doing in Putnam, jackson, overton and white counties anyone got info I know different areas in tn come in at different times but the bucks could be rutting on land in Jackson and 2 miles down the road in putnam the bucks are moving around feeding.just my 2 cents worth anyone know?thanks

benton county, seen numerous small bucks all loners.havent seen a doe or buck{ of size}.drive back to memphis lots of road kill specially heavy east of jackson

This morning i watched a buck bed down with a doe and saw another doe by herself that was in heat.

seen a doe come running thru this morning, texted a buddy about her headed his way and hope there was a buck following, started to text other buddy and had to put the phone down and shot a spike that was following lol .

Still 2 weeks away from prime hunting in Fayette and hardeman. This weekend mature buck movement during daylight should start rolling.

Just bide your time.... hunting in west TN will be awesome while the guys in middle TN will be stuck in the postrut doldrums

Sadly, you've got that right. Generally, my chances for a mature buck are over by about Nov. 12.

Cruising phase of the rut was on hard at my place this last weekend. Not only did we see quite a few older bucks while hunting, cameras showed a real peak of daylight movement the Nov. 7-11. Lots of daylight scraping activity. Quite a few older bucks seen chasing non-estrus does (does were running scared). Peak breeding is imminent in my area.

And everything was right on schedule this year.

I pretty much have to hunt the last week of October until the last week of November. It's never quite consistently good one week out of that stretch, it seems to go on slowly.
