Air Rifles

With the lack of .22 ammo i'm looking at getting an Air Rifle. I've looked at gamos, like the Silent Cat.

I'm going to be using it for squirrel hunting when the dogs got the squirrels treed.

I can't decide between a .22 or .177 and the speed. Is 1250 FPS going to get 90% of the jobs done? Or is it just shot placement?

I'm looking for a good alternate to the .22

I've been want'n a good one for a few years now, hope'n to get one after tax time, cant decide if its gonna be a PCP or a spring powered gun,a .177 shoots nice & flat but I'm lean'n more tward a .22.

a .177 will kill a squirrel no problem.. I always try for head shots...

My 11yr old has a beeman .22 /.177 came with 2 barrels! Deadly

Don't buy speed, buy accuracy. Check your other post I commented more on that thread
