Age? Jaw bone and trail cam..

This is the buck I shot opening day afternoon.. When I saw him step into the field, I saw what I thought was a four yr old deer with the stereotypical front end heavy look. Big swole neck, thick shoulder a tapered waist w smaller looking hind quarters.. Weighed 200lbs... But based on the jaw bone I got him at 5.5 yr old., curious what you guys think...?

I would say 4.5 on the jaw bone.

Can't see the downward picture of the teeth clearly. Image is fuzzy. But from what I can see, either 4 1/2 or 5 1/2.

To me the darkness in the sixth tooth in comparison to the enamel is jus as pronounced as in the fifth tooth... I was just curious, cuz I'm starting a jaw bone collection. Maybe that pic will help.

Teeth suggest 4.5+ as a minimum age, but it would not surprise me one bit if this buck were 5.5. Congrats on a a fine buck!

Looks very similar to my 5.5 year old jaw from last year. But the rack is way better than mine was. Lol
