Found this buck last year and have one pic this year. I think he was a 4 yr old in this pic.

3.5 based on the body alone, but he could very well be 4.5 and just extremely run down from the rut (depending on the timing of the rut in your area)

Be careful of using the hams for field-judging age. Other than antlers, the hams are one of the most variable body features. They will fool you much more often than chest depth.

I'd have a hard time putting him at 4.5 if you don't look at the horns, which you shouldn't. My guess was 3.5, but he could be run down from the rut, assuming the rut was over in your area.
