Has been a bust for me this year so far. Went back to my honey hole where I see deer every year. Killed a nice 10 last year and never seen the first deer this year. Changed it up and moved to a different area. Still no deer. I've been hearing plenty of other fun shots but just ain't in the book for me this year I reckon

That's why it's called hunting, but it still stinks to not see anything!
I always enjoy AEDC, although I didn't go this year either.

Yeah that's definitely why is hunting and not killing lol.
Thought we had these deer figured out but full moons heavy winds and plenty of rain got them acting different is all I can figure lol there is always next time.

We put in for the draw hunts every year. I shot a pretty good buck Friday evening but lost blood and never could find it. Searched all over for him. Ending up seeing several bucks but I was trying to hold out on a good one. I almost got my opportunity on another nice buck but he bolted before I could pull the trigger. All in all, it was a good trip just hated not finding that deer....I'm already looking forward to next year!

Just a question. Is AEDC archery only and is it a draw/quota WMA? I'm on a lease just south of there and the guide is a bit confusing the way it reads to me. Thanks & good luck the rest of the Season.

It is open after it's first youth hunt for archery hunting until the end of October some time then they have two draw hunts in November that are shotgun, muzzleloader,or archery. The archery portion is open to anyone and same as state wide on limits while the draw hunts are bonus deer.

Thanks Man for the info. I primarily bow hunt and know there are archery only areas around. I bow hunt mostly because I had a bad experience during a rifle season years ago. Blessings

Sorry to hear that. I wish aedc had more than just the two draw hunts like they used to but they did open it up for longer on the archery. There's some really ngood hunting out there once you find a place away from people lol.
