How would you hunt this plot of land. Not used to hunting fields but thus is what I have to work with. The X is where I was thinking of sitting this evening.

I am going to assume you have not rotated the map, that North is at the top.

If that is the case, then this evening aren't you going to have the wind out of the North/NorthWest?

I think with a north wind I would be sitting on the far left (west) side of the property where I could see between the long row of bushes in the middle of the big field and the forest on the right.

another way of saying it: If you positioned yourself directly to the left of your "X" all the way to the left to the edge of the ag field.

Good luck, I think you will do okay if there is sign anywhere.

I like the idea of the general area you picked first off for this time of year...your in a funnel that brings 5 fingers of timber together looks like a prime spot for a buck to be cruising between timber fingers looking for a hot doe...I also like the fact that you could hunt this area with virtually any wind...deer aren't as "spooky" in the breeding season when it comes to human scent especially bucks... I would simply set with my back to a field and the wind in my face depending on wind direction...good luck

North is at bottom of the map sorry should have put it on there. I found a place in the general area I had the x. There are scrapes and rubs all over and good traveled trails. Hopefully something walks by tonight

either your 'x' or a stand 50 yards to the south (if your picture is upside down) at the corner of the other field depending on the wind direction
