Long shot here but by any chance if there are any shotshell reloaders here that have ever reloaded ACTIV hulls before, would you happen to have any ACTIV T 32 wads laying around your not gonna use??? I recently came into a few hundred ACTIV hulls and want to reload them. Mainly for nostalgia purposes. I remember hunting with my uncles and grandpa around Christmas when I was little and they had ACTIV shells and those are memories I will always cherish.

Were those the all plastic shells? Dang those were horrible shell to eject, the plastic rims would rip and then have to poke them out with a stick, hate to think what would happen on a reload

I've loaded about any shot shell brand that has ever existed and never went by the strict rules that the manuals stated about a specific wad combined with a certain hull. Not sure why the Active brand hulls would need a Active wad? What you have to look at with wads mainly is the length required to get a good crimp yet not compress the wad too much or let the crimp fold down into the shell too far. I know I loaded some of the all plastic hulls and I know i never used Active brand wads as I bought wads by the case (5000) through a Trap club I used to shoot with and always got something that would work with almost any hull for convenience.

Oh you don't have to have the ACTIV wads to load'em. There's several recipes out here for various other wads/powder combos, which I have. I was just wondering if anyone had any old ones laying around gathering dust, I'd take'em off your hands.

On my skeet loads, I've always just loaded what I had and never really paid much attention to specific makes of wads or primers or hulls. But I'm wanting to do some magnum 1 1/4-1 1/2oz loads with these. And rather go by the book.

I gotcha! There's bound to be somebody who has a bag or two of those wads laying under a loading bench somewhere. You may have to be persistent finding them though. I had real good luck finding some long out of production loading components about a year ago so it can be done.

I don't have any shotshell reload components, but I do have about 50 Active 12-gauge steel BB's You can have if you ever get around Shelby County. At the time, these were legal goose rounds. I even have the original boxes.

I have loaded several of them.. I remember that after a few times the primers would just fall out.. I quit using them..check and see but.. I'm thinking the wad you use for AA,s will work

I appreciate the offer! Problem is I'm on one side of the state and your on the other!! If interested though, I'd be willing to write you a check for shipping them plus a lil extra for the inconvenience. I probably wouldn't even shoot'em especially if you still have the boxes. Just something about seeing those shells and boxes that brings back a lot of awesome memories of family hunts and the holidays!

You mean I gotta stand in the UPS line and be brutalized again? You see, I don't drink anymore and that process tends to make alcohol a reasonable reward for surviving.

PM me a mailing address and Then Be Patient. Every time I turn on the UPS road I start to shake and look for an escape route.
