a Scope Question

I am looking for a scope I can put on the 17SM I plan on getting when they come out. I need high power so I can take it on the P.D. shoot in June.
I would like to have side focus and some kind of reticle besides the basic cross hair.
Would love to stay around $300 or less, or am way out of line hoping I can get this for this amount?

i bought a hawke 6-24x42 with side focus for right at $200 and have been pleased so far. but it has a crosshair.

Check out this link. Best bang for the buck if you get the V-Plex Wide reticle. I bought one and have no complaints.
