A real Monster Killed...

Guy killed one in Concordia Parish, LA, just outside Ferriday that has 16-points and goes in 210 range,Green gross typ. B&C and Buckmasters scores at 223. Won't go near that net. This is a real hoss and in the same area as the 145-inch, eight-point I killed years ago. Believed to be new LA state record.

35 whelen yes. A Thompson Center Encore was not allowed for primitive season because it was not a reproduction. Has that changed recently? I'm not talking about the round I'm talking about the gun.

The new definition of a legal firearm for the primitive firearm season will now include: single shot, breech loading rifles, .35 caliber or larger, having an exposed hammer that uses metallic cartridges loaded either with black powder or modern, smokeless powder.

I hunted that area several years as a teen. It always produced one huge deer a year. Now, much of it is no longer swamp but is in beean and a WMA. It was sure wild country back then. They even had a house of ill repute operating on a riverboat during deer season.

That's a good one for sure but my buddy killed a 29 point 237 inch monster this year as well. It is a freaking giant!!!!

The thing about this one that really gets my attention is, it is scored as a typ. I do not know what the non-typ score is. Think about it, a 210 typical.

Some years ago, on a turkey hunt, I switched shoulders with a shotgun. Dang near broke my nose and missed the turkey to boot. However, the dummy tried to fly and that gave me time to switch shoulders and ruin his day. You can shoot off the off shoulder if you keep both eyes open.

Either yesterday or the day before (I think), a 191 was killed in KS with a bow.
