A rainbow runner i caught today

A few minutes before i caught the rainbow runner i had a 4 foot long dolphin at the side of the ship. But we could not get the gaff in it and it got off the line

I've never caught one. Are they good eating?

Yes, they good to eat, any fish u catch in blue water is good. 6100 feet of water below me. At this location.

Just 6100 feet? Bottom fishing there must be a son of a gun, lol. Headed to the coast here in about 3 weeks. Looking forward to putting the steel to the saltwater fishes.

Those are amazing tuna and marlin bait. Never ate one. Thanks for posting the pix. Have a safe shift and throw us some more photos if you get a chance.!
