same, that was so cool. love gobblers. ever seen a flock like this?
Honestly I can say I have.
I watched a parade move across the top of a hill one morning during the juvy hunt that had over 20 longbeards in it. Looked like a row of boxcars going by.
Every one of them had beards at least 10" long.
We tried our best to get over there and get in front of them but alas we ran out of property too quick.
That was in Dickson County though, the heaven of turkey hunting in TN from what I saw.
I think that is a fighting purr, but I have never seen it on video or in person if birds weren't actually fighting.

The fighting purrs I've heard were more intense than that.
It started out excited then it sounded to me that it went to purrs. But that's jmo..... I could be totally off base here.
