Any members on here? I'm thinking about picking up my map at Sugarlands next Saturday and starting it. I spend a bunch of time hiking in the Smoky's and think it would be quite an accomplishment.

I'm working on mine. I started in 2009..... I'm working on that part between deep creek campground and eagle creek. I've finished all Tn side and a lot of NC. How much have you tried yet??

I've hiked hundreds of miles in the Park in the past. I've just never kept track of it. My wife and I hiked with another couple this past weekend and had to keep the mileage short. I've got a long ways to go.

It's a pretty cool thing. I'm looking forward to finishing. The NC side requires a lot of logistics.

I hope to finish in about 3 years..... Don't hike that much from November thru February, too busy hunting.

I met a guy a few years back that had a old park map of the trails that are no longer maintained. He was bushwahcking in some serious looking jungles, guess you can call him a purist.

We have a good bit knocked out ad that eagle creek area tired us pretty good last year.
