has anybody put on a tatical stock like an ar on their 870 was it a pain how did it look and feel any pics

Got a Knoxx Specops on mine. Really cuts the felt recoil down and adjustable for length. The pistol grip works well with the Remington type crossbolt safety, but not so good on a gun with top safety switch.

I think the NRS (Non Recoil Suppression) one is about $70. It's a nice telescoping stock but without the recoil reduction mechanism. The Specops that absorbs recoil is about $110. They look very similar, just the internal mechanism is't there on the NRS version.

Get the knoxx/blachhawk nrs or specops. Do not get the ATI. It is junk in comparison. I bought the ATI for my sons 870 and it is crap compared to my specops. Needless to say I then replaced his with a specops.

had the ATI on a mossberg 835 and I liked it a lot until I handled a buddys specops. His specops was twice the price of my ATI but after I played with it and shot it I could see why.
Ati was making the stocks for mossbergs tactical turkey shotguns. May still but I havnt looked at them in a couple years.

no no problems at all. i had the mag tube on with the orginal slug barrel and came across this shorter one. i wish they were they same for looks. i have been to lazy to order a mag tube with one less capacity.
