I have a z7 extreme set on 70 lbs and 29 inch draw I shoot gold tip 75/95 with a 85 grn tip! I was thinking of going to the gold tip 400 hunters with the 85 grn tip! Do any of you guys shoot this set up and do they shoot good with a 70 lb bow? The 75/95 shoot great but I was thinking of dropping my poundage a little this year and I figured I could get a little more speed from the 400,s!

If you are going to keep it close to 70, I'm not sure the 400's are your best choice. If you are going to drop down to the 60-65 range they should be fine.

X2! With the setup your talking about you will be underspined. You either need to drop your draw weight and go with what you planned or drop down in spine to the mid 300's and leave the draw weight where it is.

Unless you plan on dropping it down to 60# I would stick with the .340 spine (7595). I've been taught to shoot a slightly stiff arrow vs a weak arrow, especially dealing with fixed broadheads.

I shoot a Flatline 400 with 125 gr tips out of a 70# Bowtech Admiral and am setting up the exact same arrow setup for my new 70# Insanity. I shoot a fairly short arrow, 26.5" carbon to carbon and have had no problems with spine issues so far.
