Farmer was doing some work where the big deer move through, so I figured I go to another spot, I was walking, looking to my left and I see movement a ways off. 2 Does. I go to investigate and there are 3-4 in the field feeding at 4pm. I decided to low crawl a ways and more does came out. Then something blew in the woods where they were coming from, I have to assume it saw my movement, so a couple of the does trotted back towards the woods...the biggest one got behind a bush, so no shot. After 5 minutes they calmed down and started coming back out, about 10 in all, picked the biggest one and squeezed the trigger. 10 days to go....my youngest son and I saw a nice buck on Sunday at last light....made the mistake of having my scope on 9X and couldn't find him as he walked into the thick stuff.....I just was shocked to see him out in the open...evidently hunger almost got the best of him.
 
I hunted a different section of the farm, hung a stand, but decided not to hunt it, backed out and set up in some deadfalls.....15 minutes later I see movement to my right and 3 does were feeding towards me......so I shot the biggest one...right before that crazy storm hit.....was going to turn it into sausage/jerky, but found out a family at church was looking for meat....so gave it to them......still hoping I can get at least one more for sausage/jerky, but this weather forecast is telling me I should go duck hunting!!
