38 5 shot and 1 10 shot just fireforming brass. 80 gr bullet in a 13.5 twist 6 PPC bbl.
I fireformed this brass in the bbl I'm taking off and will start load development in new bbl with new brass already formed.Did you draw any conclusions? I like to try and combine load development with fire forming. Otherwise, by the time I get my load I've got too many rounds on my barrel. Interested in your process.
That's a good suggestion. I usually have to start with new brass on a new barrel. Next time I'll get my gunsmith to match headspace. Usually it's about .001 difference! That little probably wouldn't matter but my old brass will have 18-22 firings anyway.I fireformed this brass in the bbl I'm taking off and will start load development in new bbl with new brass already formed.
The 2 bbls done on same reamer and headspace so close to each other I can't measure a difference
