The guys are on some tv show and they were on Archerytalk bitching about the pics being leaked. They were shamelessly plugging their hunting show and whining about how the pics being leaked was gonna affect their sponsorship money that they could have raked in. So glad I quit watching hunting shows.

Something tells me he will. He may even get it airbrushed on the back of his team shirt. His arms are much bigger than mine so he can't adequate represent the mass of the main beams like my toothpick arms do. I personally think my description of my biggest buck does a better job of representing it than any picture could. That's why I don't bother with pictures. :shock:

I may have to look into getting us some team "the break" shirts if we head back to AL this year. I would finally feel like the complete hunter with a cool team t-shirt. Reckon they have any in small so I can get one for Steven? :mrgreen:

It is a very big coincidence that a buck that size with all that unusual character just happened to get shot by a guy on a team with a TV show, considering that 99.99% of bowhunters are just normal guys.

I was reading a separate thread on AT the other day where the guy was doing a play by play of the kill and I did a double take when he mentioned "lungs", a noun, and there was no sponsorship plug.

So is this deer pen raised? Free ranging and not home grown? Or High Fence? or what?

Because ANYONE can kill a buck like this if they have enough money to either grow it, or buy it.

And to say that this buck is totally free of any steroid or growth enhancement or free from any human tampering is truly AMAZING.

Maybe it is.

But I seriously doubt it.

A bit off topic but I feel it holds some merit.

In the West, the golden days of mule deer hunting were basically in the 60s-70s. Giant bucks were getting killed every where, fast forward to today and the number of true giants has declined drastically. Look at this scenario from a reverse perspective on whitetails. Is it not possible that we are experiencing the golden age in whitetails and the 250" buck is slowly becoming the new 180" buck?

it stinks im totally against high fence and farming. I'm carrying a bow to a gun hunt so I'm all for fair chase. I meant I would love to see this deer be legit and wild and not have to doubt its authenticity. May not be the case with this guy.

Just wondering, for the crowd that is making the accusation that this deer is possibly a high fence or farmed deer, what information are you basing your statements on? Because I have followed this kill pretty closely and I have found nothing at all that supports this theory?

Kentucky has produced a few WILD bucks over 250 inches so has Ohio. They lived WILD on private regular everyday farms/properties. There was a 50 point buck taken in western KY a few years ago off coal mine land that scored over 250 inches. There was a buck taken on public land in KY at Pennyrile State Forest several years ago that was over 220 inches I believe.

That pennyrile buck is an absolute freak. Deer like that occasionally grace a lucky hunter by walking within range. It doesn't happen very often but there are some true giants out there...
