.300 Blackout

I have just started playing with this caliber recently. I am liking what I have seen so far. The subs are movie quiet through a suppressor and the supers are giving me great groups out to 200 yards with 110 and 125 gr so far. Not seen any evidence with tumbling. Shooting 2350 fps and slower right now. Looking to step it up to a heavier bullet, maybe 150gr at about 1750fps or so for 100 yards and in. I had read a lot about the .300 on the AR style weapon you tend to have issues with extraction unless you go to an AR pistol type gas system which I used on this build. Anyone else using this caliber yet?

I've got a blackout. I like it. I bought some 220gn expanding bullets I hope to try out this fall for subsonic hunting.

I put a 300 blackout barrel on my windham ar 15 and it shoots really well out to 200 yards.

Lot's of deer dead by my kids with the blackout (in a bolt-gun). We're using the 125g NBT's and haven't had an issue yet.

My experience is not exactly with the 300 Blackout but the 7.62x39. However if both are loaded with 125 grain bullets they are identical for all practical purposes. I've killed one deer and my daughter another using the 7.62x39 and what I think is a Hornady bullet. The bullets were bought from Midway as a "repackaged component" so there was no brand info in the box. Both deer ran the typical 50 yards and dropped.

My intention is to experiment with 150 grain bullets just to see how well they work. That's where your 300 has the advantage, due to it's faster rifling twist rate, but I'm hoping I can get by with 150's.
