Well I got up this morning and could not decide where to go, because I wanted to go back to the spot where i have been seeing deer every time I sit, but I was not sure if the other two guys would be out there and I was not sure if they would have bows or not. Turns out they did not show up.

I also did not know if the guy that hunts on my property line would be there. I didn't hear any shots, but didn't go to that side of the property. So I settled on a ladder stand in the back corner of my property. Got in there with plenty of time before sun up then nothing but squirrels until 8 am. I had noted a red Oak and some sort of white oak directly behind me and two Pin oaks in front. I had a Cedar thicket to my right and heard something in there so i was looking. I turn around and here comes 2 does walking right at me. I freeze and they come in and one goes right to the stump I had a trophy rock on (its gone now) but she starts licking the stump. She is broadside at 15 yds, so I let one fly. She jumped and ran and went out in front of me got all wobbly kneed and almost fell, but took off again. I waited and got down only to see blood at the scene but could not find my arrow and nothing else. So I went to where she wobbled and found good bright red blood. Followed a few drops over into a clearing where I last saw her and found my arrow just laying there covered in blood. Then it was like an ax murder took place blood was real good. She made it another 50 yds and fell.

I didn't take a pic when I found her like I have been doing, because I got sidetracked dealing with her then trying to get out of there.FYI I opened the stomach and nothing but acorns. Some of those mini Pin Oaks were in there too ;)
I know some will say "Pics or it didn't happen", but some also say "the proof is in the puddin." I say "the proof is in the pile of meat"

Here she is :D

Congrats! Doe I got yesterday was full of acorn pieces. Interestingly I saw em eating red oaks, there were chinkapins but none had dropped any acorns.
