I can get a pound of either powder at a good price and was wondering if any one loads .270 with either powder? 140gr Nosler ballistic tip is the bullet.

One of the best Velocity loads my uncle came up with in his 270 Win was with H-414 and the 140gr BT Accuracy wasn't as good as with RL-19 which hes uses now.

Either mentioned are worth a try.

I never used these exact powders, but I use IMR4350 is my go-to powder. Excellent results in my 270 using max published loads.

So between the two you listed, I'd try the H4350.

I have had good luck with H414 out of my 30-06, but if I were looking for a dedicated 270 Win powder, it would be H4831 or RL 19.

My uncle uses RL-19 @ 55grs R-P or Win Cases,Win LR primer and 140gr Partitions or Accubonds one raged hole groups @ 100 with either. K-98 with a Douglas Barrel 24".
