243 ammo?

Want a good pass through for white tail. What do you recommend for this?

Any of the above that Kimberman mentioned will suit you just fine.

I will say that the 95 gr Fusion is the most accurate factory round I ever tried in my daughters .243

All of the ones mentioned are premium bullets, made to retain weight and pass through. The Barnes bullets are known to retain 100% of thier weight and penetrate deeply.

You are prob right. She wont be shooting past probably 30 yards so it MAY not be as big of a deal as I am making it.

Its always a good idea to shoot the ammo you hunt with, most bullets of different make/design dont shoot to the same point of impact.

The 95 grain Fusion has unreal terminal performance on deer. It is also the most accurate load for my 243 as well.

I am going to try the 100 gr Hornady Interlocks this year. Kinda wish I had got the Fusions now after hearing all this. How many have used the Hornadys?

I have seen many deer killed with 100 Hornady Interlocks from 6 Rem and I dont see how you could ask for a better deer load,,

I use different calibers to get more range but inside of 250-300 yards I wouldnt think twice about the shot on the next world record whitetail with that bullet,

I would look to one that has a good exit wound. Tracked several with almost no blood trail from a 243 cal. Lost some also.

I use remington core-lokts 100 grain. Thinking about trying some of the fusions though.

I Shoot corelokts with confidence.. The fusions are sweet as well. A 243 is a 243 same old thing, a good hit will be letahal, blood trail could be sparse...love it or hate it.

I just bought a 243 for my grandaughter last October. I had no personal experience with a 243, and I didn't want to give her an un-tested gun, so I carried it one day.

I killed two deer, one shot each, at 100 yards. Both were pass-throughs; one was DRT with a shatered shoulder bone, and one flopped about 20 yards away with a couple mushed lungs.

Cheapest Winchester SuperX 100 gr factory loads.

For this fall I'm loading some 95 gr Hornady SSTs. I've had very good performance with 140 Gr Iterlocks in my 260, but I like the plastic tip bullets better than the exposed lead tips.
