whats the biggest deer u heard of in Tennessee field dressed..
my newphew killed his first buck this morn with a crossbow in Robertson county 10pter field dressed 232 pounds i say he will score around 125-130 ..i have a pic buts its hard to tell with the way he is laying..if somebody could post it for me just text me at 615-238-4980 and ill text u the pic..thanks

Congrats on a great buck. My heaviest field dressed 225 lbs. That would have put him at 275 lbs on the hoof.

To your question of field dressed deer, bakc in the '70s there were deer killed every year in North Davidson County, up into Robertson and Sumner Counties that were reported to dress in the mid 250's. There were some absolute pigs killed around Goodlettsville. There were stories of a couple that were close to 300 lbs, although I never saw a picture of one. Once Davidson County was open to deer hunting for a few years, there was a sharp decline in the number of big bucks taken from what I remember.
