Windy day yote!

Helped a new neighbor track down this young 9. Tough fella brought a few neighbors together before he gave out. Impressed by new guy getting permission to cross lines and enjoyed watching the warm welcome and assistance rendered by returned veteran son of another neighbor.

Tough mountain remote properties not seek1 scenario...

[Act right, do right and everyone gets to see the good side of folks.]

It was new neighbor's first whitetail and he harvested with crossbow. Long track but fairly good blood except a couple downhill sections of trail. My guess would be it was probably 5 yards further than he thought at the shot. Hit little low but sliced bottom of the heart bleed enough to get us there.

This guy was at 20 yards when I first saw him at about 9am this morning. He came in upwind of me and was down in a hollow coming up towards me. I couldn't move until he got behind a big tree at 10 yards. Shot looked good and he took off. He ran up and over a logging road and back down into another bottom. I saw him bedding down with his head swaying. I decided to put another arrow in him to make sure he was not going anywhere.
130lb. 5 point 10 yards on the ground with Excalibur Mag340.
