I like seeing other people's season review so here is mine.

2014 may not be my best number year, but it is definitely my best season so far. It started slow with a bow but ended with a "bang". It also included a TN elk tag. Unfortunately I didn't fill it, but it wasn't due to the lack of trying. I could have killed a small bull every day but opted to pass. I missed my opportunity on the last day, but that is the way it goes sometimes. I feel like the Lord has a plan for you and how you react. I stayed postive even though I was upset because tag soup is hard to bear. :) It just wasn't meant to be. My son made it better by killing two deer that juvie weekend and finishing with 4 total at 7 yrs old. I killed three good bucks which included my biggest ever at 140". It is a season that I won't soon forget.

TN Elk hunt - 1st elk seen

Black bear from the elk hunt

Christmas present from my father-in-law since he figured I already had reserved wall space for an elk. :)

Son's juvie doe and 2nd deer ever for him.

My Mzl 8 pt

Rifle Opening Day - 8 pt with two kickers - 140 3/8" - My biggest to date

My last buck

Late season doe thinning - My son was with me but couldn't get a shot. I left most of the doe killing to him this year. :)

Son's double this past weekend.

We ended with 8 deer total. I am so proud of my son. I can't believe that he was able to pull off 4 deer at 7 years old. He is a great shot, and I hope that he keeps the fire.
