I'm running 2 coil MB 550s. They are doing a great job. But I wonder if over time, a 4 coil would be better? Just a thought. What do you guys think?

4 coil is quicker. But I use all 2 coil and never had a problem
Same. I posted a video of a fox getting caught in the trap in another thread. That's a 2 coil and it snaps pretty loud! I heard 2 coil were better for foxes. I'm running 3 swivels and still have damage to their legs. Can't imagine a 4 coil

Depends on the trap. My MB550s came with 4 coils. I could barely set them so I took 2 springs off. They work great. Caught a big yote last week by the toe and the trap held fine.

My old duke soft catch traps probably would have benefitted with 4 coil. Not sure if it was the rubber jaws or weak springs but I had several pull outs using them.

Put some shock springs on them that will stop the damage to there feet
