Until it crosses the fence! Lol I let a 7 pt. Walk 4 times this year that was 14 or 15 wide and the neighbor shot it the first time he seen it!

Is there a deer in that pic? lol hopefully you will get him next year.

But all is not lost :)

Think about it.
IF you had shot that particular buck, your neighbor might have just continued hunting until he also killed a buck = 2 dead bucks.
As it is, you likely still saved the life of a buck, albeit maybe not the one you passed.

Im sure they are, limits mean nothing to a poacher. What blows me away are the people who want to kill better bucks, but had to have the state lower the limit before they would actually give young bucks a pass or shoot less bucks period?? Nobody has ever been required to kill the limit as a minimum, if it suits you, let them walk!!
Ive been doing it for years and the limit has absolutely ZERO affect on which deer I will shoot, its 100% personal preference and has been for many years now. If hes not big enough for #1 of the year hes not big enough on the last day of the season either.

This ^^^
Even though I preferred the 3 buck limit.
Limit doesn't change what I'm happy with.
