10 year old and license

I am going to take a 10 year old boy from church hunting some this year. He has not had hunters ed so I know I need to get his apprentice license. What about a 094 for does? If he does need it, does he need it for both gun and if he uses a crossbow during archery?

I am not TWRA but he will need the 094 to shoot a doe after muzzle loader season opens. He does not need 094 during archery only season or during the youth hunt.

He will also need the type 94 to do any nonquota hunting on a WMA.
