I have got to say trail cameras are great for monitoring unwanted visitors. I had just left for the morning from bow hunting before Rin Tin Tin showed up. I never knew what he/she was doing on my property. First thought was law enforcement. Locals denied it. TWRA officer denied them having anything but Labrador retrievers. Who knows? Sure looks like a k9 Kevlar vest, maybe it's just a shadow. Keep cameras in trees year round. Never know who comes snooping around.

I don't think it's a vest. I think it's a shadow cutting across his dark coat and they way it "cuts" across makes it look like a vest. You can see the outline of the shade and sunlight on the ground towards the back of him.
I agree... and based on flourescent collar, I think someone just out walking their dog or letting it run, but smart enough to put a little orange on him.

Looks like a tracking collar to me. Look at the black dot at the bottom of the collar. And yes, it looks like a vest on a German Shepherd or similar breed. The vest is cut around the shoulder too uniformly to be a shadow. And where the rear of it ends on the dogs back, there is an area of darker fur behind it.

I've got a bunch of cheap WGI $25
cameras that I run year-round.

I don't think it's a vest. Just a dog out roaming.

Here's one I got on cam behind my house. When it sent to my phone I thought it was a 🐻 🤣.. Wife and I left our house and hit a side road a couple weeks ago and seen the dog in the owners yard not far from my place.

This is exactly why I think having cameras up at all times is a good idea, I want to get to the level where I have a cheap non cell cam that people see, go after it, and that is "decoy", with a good one recording the entire thing, i will have those set ups near main entrances, since bad people usually know to spray the cameras, etc.
