Ky lake sucks

Well I don't guess it does but I just ain't good enough of a fisherman to catch bass there.
Had three bites that didn't hook up and caught two.
Tophat caught 2.

Big fish of the day was about 2 1/2#

Still better than being at work

What did you use for bait?

It was the red boat, scared them away

Whopper plopper
Lizard
Lipless crank
Square bill
Frog
Whacky worm

Caught one on the whacky worm and one on the lizard

Had a big fish hit the frog but I didn't get a good hookup and it got off

Tophat caught one on a spinner bait and one on a lizard

I have been getting good results with crankbaits and top water. Caught 12 bass today in 5 hours.

We just caught these two out of Kentucky lake, well Santa Rosa Florida area

It can be tough,i caught some bass crappie fishing last weekend.They were in crappie beds in 12-14fow

I was lucky enough to grow up next to ky lake during the grass days on ky lake 10 or so years ago where anybody could go out and catch as many as you wanted plus several 4 plus pounders i was in a 1648 flatbottom loaded with pumpkin seed brushhogs at that time........ I'd be hard pressed to catch 5 keepers in a day out there now.

its always tough post spawn when they scatter out. you have to powerfish to find them then it may be one here or two there. when there is a lot of food in the water they dont have to school up to feed.

did you find any bluegill?

That's what I was thinking too. Seems to be also something that he has to blame other than the lack of skill lol. Nice fish RUGER, again just giving you a hard time

Try a 10" Zoom Ole Monster, plum color plastic worm. I used to wear them out on KY Lake with it

I have to say the same about claytor lake in SW Virginia. I've been up to that lake approx 6 times. A few different areas (kayak fishing). I've only caught 3 fish total i think. 2 bass and a perch, and the perch was bigger than the bass I've caught.

Maybe if I owned boat. I just bum rides off people like Ruger

Catfish are biting at ky lake. Brought 23 home

the fish are feeding up at night and by the time first light comes they are just swatting at it, reaction bite. late evening fishing should be hot.
