My son had to work all weekend and couldn't hunt. I hunted hard both days and the closest I got was a hung up bird at 60 yards. This morning he shows up, bird hammers on the roost, he sets up, makes a few tree yelps, clucks and purrs, bird flies down 40 yards out and starts marching in strutting. He killed him at 30 yards. 9" beard and 3/4 inch spurs. I hunted all day and haven't heard a gobble.
