Bass lures?

I keep 3 rods tied with whopper plopper, chatter bait and ned rig. The Z man neds are the toughest and last a long time. I like this style shakey head because you can rig them weedless. they pull over logs and rocks easily. I also use a Rage Craw on the same shakey head. Water quality dictates color. I've been a black-blue glitter person myself but my friends are catching good fish with green pumpkin-orange as well.

How light of a setup do y'all prefer when fishing the ned rig (rod/ line)?

I have the lews Ned rig spinning rod with a lews reel and I fish it on 6lb or 8lb test.

I sometimes will fish the heavier Ned rig head on a 7' medium/heavy rod with 8lb-10lb test.

Look up LedgeHog lures. They can be fished multiple ways.

This is my Ned rig setup, I use either the 1/10oz or the 1/5oz heads.

They have several colors available but I keep it simple and use either green pumpkin or junebug color.

Exact same heads and baits I use. Those heads are available with or without the wire brushguards. I always use them. They are pretty effective at making it weedless.
