This pic was taken today. First I've seen of any poults this year. But don't they look 2-3 months behind schedule?

Must've been a late breeding or a renesting. Hens can store sperm in they're oviducts for safe keeping if needed.

I have a whole crop of poults that didn't hit the ground until august , they were the result of third nesting round, to much may rain and to many predators and tractors in late june. the species will go on :tu:

That's what I'd be concerned about too. All the young-of-the year turkeys I've seen pretty much look, run, and fly like mama at this point.

I mowed this area right after this pick was taken. I got pics of this group the following two days, and then no more. There was 2 hens, and almost full grown poult, and at least five poults the size shown in the other pics. Hope they made it.
